Elizabeth Ervine"As Project Manager for the first time it was a daunting task to pull together the right people to help organise the Act Now Northern Aboriginal Gathering. How lucky was I when a colleague suggested 100 Monkeys. Throughout the process Julie and Heather were empathetic, professional, innovative, helpful and culturally respectful. They made my role as Project manager so much easier and I would 100% recommend them to anyone who wants to work with the best in the business."

Donna Richards - CEO, Mira Healthcare Alliance
Donna Richards100 Monkeys undertook an evaluation of Moira Healthcare Alliance’s HACC CALD project. It was a difficult brief and included a range of stakeholders from service providers to CALD communities and government department as the funder of the project. MHA requested a Formative Evaluation Model be used and Julie and Heather delivered an evaluation report that reflected all the aims contained within the brief. These included:

The report has delivered MHA an extremely valuable tool to inform future directions, work plans and contained ‘warts and all’ of the current project.
It has been an extremely useful process and created dialogue, new plans and signposts for the future and it was delivered to very limited time lines. It will not sit on the shelf. Thank you oh wonderful ones.

Mandy Jones"The Strategic Review and subsequent Strategic Plan developed by 100 Monkeys Pty Ltd has placed the Winemakers of Rutherglen in a very strong position to create a robust future. The processes employed to engage members and the broader community in consultation and planning were well constructed and served to further enhance the position of the organisation in all sectors".

David Engwicht - Place Maker, Sculptor, Author, Street Philosopher
David Engwicht - Place Maker, Sculptor, Author, Street Philosopher I have commissioned 100 Monkeys to undertake work and I have also been a participant in their Unleash the Champion Within course.  What I admire about Heather and Julie is their professionalism and their earthy wisdom.  They know how to take people on a journey from the known (no matter how limited), to a new horizon.  They know how to break this journey into achievable steps, even if each step challenges participants.

Heather and Julie are also unafraid of hard work.  I have seen them pound the pavement for hours visiting merchants and getting them fired up to participate in a program.  Heather and Julie also show a great deal of creativity in the way they run processes but more importantly how they make their message memorable.

I have no hesitation in recommending 100 monkeys.

Sheila Joss - Director of Care Services Lutheran Aged Care Services
Sheila Joss - Director of Care Services Lutheran Aged Care Services’Our objective was to encourage middle managers to have the confidence to make decisions and implement change in the workplace. That has certainly been achieved.
Staff have said to me that they feel more confident in their roles, feeling less stressed when back filling for managers, and relate this to the course.
Being able to understand the program and taking part from a distance through the Executive Supervision was very valuable.’

David Whittle - Wodonga Pharmacy
David Whittle : Wodonga Pharmacy‘“The experience has taught me to look beyond my comfort zone and start each day with a positive outlook in both my professional/business and personal life.  I feel re-invigorated, positive, motivated and believe my staff and family do as well.   My staff are more relaxed, happy and we communicate better and more openly.  I feel I am starting to achieve my goals and finding solutions to business and personal situations that may arise throughout my day/life with greater ease and confidence.”

Dawn George - Genevieve Boutique
Dawn George : Genieve BoutiqueThe compassion and understanding and respect for each other was a testament to both Julie and Heathers ability to facilitate and take each and everyone of us on a big journey.  The program should be run again to allow other merchants to experience and grow, both personally and in their business.

Debra Mudra - Manager Early Years City of Wodonga
Debra Mudra : Manager Early Years Wodonga City Council'One of the most important issues throughout this process for the team was ‘trust’ and this was built on mutual respect and an understanding of each individual, their temperament, ways of learning, the way they interacted with each other (dynamics) and personal and professional objectives. The process allowed staff to understand each other and how together they could work more effectively as a team. It made staff think more about behaviours and attitudes and helped them set a direction that was real and relevant to them. Some staff were able to really self reflect and take their learning’s to a different level. Overall the program sets a solid foundation from which great things will grow.’

Debbie MacKinlay - Manager, Aged Services City of Wodonga
Debbie MacKinlay : Manager Aged Services City of WodongaThe new attitude displayed by staff is fabulous.  The atmosphere in the workplace is very refreshing.  It enabled staff to reflect on their own behaviour and leadership skills and how they could work together to become a “world class service”.

The unleash success program allowed the staff participating in the program to identify that they would like to provide a “World Class Service”.  By identifying this goal staff then worked together to identify issues and develop strategies that would lead to a world class service.  The program encouraged staff to “show leadership” rather than relying on someone else to “do it for them”.  The program allowed the group to build trust and respect into their relationships as well as an understanding that everyone in the group is different and has many fantastic qualities and skills to share.  It also allowed and encouraged self reflection – possibly the most liberating component of the program.

Kerry Murray - Moira Healthcare Alliance
Kerry Murray : Moira Healthcare AllianceI found the ongoing support and encouragement Heather and Julie offered, at any time, so valuable, to the overall outcomes of our project. The journey became like a river - little tributaries coming together to form one huge stream full of ideas and content you had not even glimmered at and all without the enormous effort you thought would be required.

Ms Bobbie Titcher - HACC Cultural Diversity Initiative Facilitator
Bobbie Titcher : HACC Cultural Diversity Initiative FacilitatorI believe there is nothing more daunting than starting a new project and being confronted by the who, what, where, when and how questions. Having Heather and Julie mentor me through the early planning stages was invaluable. They provided me with just the right balance to build my confidence but also push me a little outside my comfort zone. As a result my project is now leaping ahead and I know I can always call upon them to give me feedback on my progress.

Debra Mudra : Manager Early Years Wodonga City CouncilPlanning Strategy for Early Years Facilities. It was very reassuring to be able to work with you both knowing that once I had given you the information around what I needed that you were able to go off and produce a high quality product even exceeded my expectations. Time was used very efficiently during the project and the level of understanding of the project was gained very quickly by you. I developed a great level of trust and confidence in your work and would use you again. Thanks for a fantastic result and making it as painless as possible. In an environment where there are so many competing demands, being able to have well managed processes and meeting times was very appreciated.

Nicki Melville - CEO Upper Hume Community Health Service
Nicki Melville : CEO Upper Hume Community Health Service100 Monkeys really understand and practice community development and participatory research and their research plan and tools were, in my opinion and that of my colleagues in Community Health, second to none.
The way Julie and Heather engaged community members and organised them to take ownership of the research across population cohorts was remarkable and resulted in comprehensive buy in to the project by a wide range of community members. This in turn resulted in project findings which will have real and sustained positive benefits for Beechworth in the years to come.
100 Monkeys demonstrated their knowledge, professionalism and integrity at every stage of the project and I would have no hesitation in recommending them for any participatory action research or community engagement and capacity building work.
